Kristen Marie Griest is one of the two first women, close by Shaye Lynne Haver, to ever proceed forward from the US Army Ranger School, which happened on 21 August 2015. Griest and Haver were built 34th on Fortune magazine's 2016 diagram of the World's Greatest Leaders.
Early life and organizing
Griest went to Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, CT, where she ran track and played softball. She is a man from Orange Congregational Church in Orange, CT.
Military calling
Griest proceeded ahead from the United States Military Academy in 2011. She correspondingly served in Afghanistan as a military cop.

Right when Griest proceeded forward from Ranger school, the central affiliation course in the US Army, women were not allowed to serve in Ranger/Infantry parts as a result of the Pentagon's shirking systems on women in fight. That structure changed on 3 December 2015 when Secretary of Defense Ash Carter declared the US military would open fight positions to women with no outstanding case.
In 2016 Griest changed into the key female infantry officer in the US Army when the Army guaranteed her request to trade there from a military police unit.
